Hi, I’m Casey! I have been teaching Hatha Vinyasa yoga since 2016 after discovering how incredible yoga is at getting “the edge” in my performance as an international dressage rider. As dressage requires the ultimate balance between power and suppleness to excel, I understand the importance of feeling strong and empowered whilst experiencing calm and ease within the body.
With extensive experience as a coach, I am skilled in communicating the right sensations and “feel” required for correct technique so you can obtain a feeling of mastery over your movement. I believe precision in movement is the key to unlocking its benefits, so my classes are highly informative. I always aim to empower students with a comprehensive understanding of why and how we do movements, so they don’t just follow instruction but instead have a deep awareness of what is happening in their body.
I can safely challenge and motivate you to dig a little deeper so that you believe in yourself and can push your ability to greater heights, all whilst maintaining a sense of ease and calm. I use props to assist in building strength and developing flexibility, ensuring everyone’s individual needs are met.
Yoga, Pilates and strength training are the perfect combination for physical and mental wellness. Yoga encourages flexibility and mindfulness, Pilates targets deep stabilising muscles for injury prevention and is very approachable for those starting a movement practice, and strength training builds muscle - imperative for metabolic health and longevity.
