Hi, I’m Casey! As a former professional athlete and coach, my interest in health and fitness is deep-rooted. Whilst pursuing my own fitness goals, I began teaching Hatha Vinyasa yoga in 2016 after discovering how incredible yoga is at getting “the edge” in my sport performance. This eventually led to training as a Pilates teacher and personal trainer and working in fitness full time, where I now deliver a holistic approach to help my clients achieve their fitness goals.
With extensive experience as a coach, I am skilled in communicating the right sensations and “feel” required for correct technique so you can obtain a feeling of mastery over your movement. I believe precision in movement is the key to unlocking its benefits, therefore my classes are highly informative so you know exactly where your body needs to be in space to have the right effect. I aim to empower you with a comprehensive understanding of why and how we do movements, so you don’t just follow instruction but instead have a deep awareness of what is happening in your body.
I can safely challenge and motivate you to dig a little deeper so that you believe in yourself and can push your ability to greater heights, all whilst maintaining a sense of ease and calm. I use props to assist in building strength and developing flexibility, ensuring everyone’s individual needs are met.
Yoga, Pilates and strength training are the perfect combination for physical and mental wellness. Yoga encourages flexibility and mindfulness, Pilates targets deep stabilising muscles for injury prevention and is very approachable for those starting a movement practice, and strength training builds muscle - imperative for metabolic health and longevity.
